S & L RETREAT 2018

Several of the girls of Stilettos & Lace were sitting around the meeting room at the home of the club President, Laceyjane. During this time the girls were discussing how some of the members would be absent for certain amounts of time when the idea to pack up and head out on a retreat started spinning the conversations. Although not all members were able to go on the retreat, the ladies that did made sure to bring along a camera to capture every moment. *The girls found a old west ghost town during thier travels and decided to have a look around, of course taking control of the Saloon for the time. Woohoo!!!

*On an African Safari, the girls had a great time playing in the wilderness and flirting with the king of the jungle. Loving the atmosphere, they seen so many animals..... lions, elephants, giraffes and so many more.

*Taking a vacation while on vacation, the girls decided to relax and unwind by staying in one of the most posh hotels in Amsterdam and took in a wonderfully relaxing spa day too.

*Before heading off for the next grand journey the girls stopped off in Kentucky, USA, Laceyjane's home state. They were just in time to experience the great and famed Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs.

*Dressing as historical female figures that helped to shape the world and pave the way for women everywhere, the girls attended the 150th Costume Gala at the Women's Historical Society. Each lady dressed as one of the great women of a time long gone, but the effects left by each are still very much a part of today's world.

*A phone call from the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (S.C.A.R.) had the girls gathering their bags and the warmest of warm clothing and coats and headed to Antarctica to help with the latest Geoscience research. Laceyjane gathered her team and and went to work on all the latest findings, of course documenting every note, photograph,and statistic or fact that was found. S.L.A.G.R.T. had great success on the expedition, with their findings to be published in National Geographic magazine.

*First stop for the girls is Coco Beach, Cuba. All of Stilettos & Lace decided to grace the beach and take in the sun, waves, atmosphere, and fun by playing on the beach, laying out in sun, cooling off in the crystal blue waters, enjoying the scenery, and playing frisbee. What a wonderful way for the girls to remember a day at the beach in Cuba.

Rockin´ Hard (Dominican Republic)

*After leaving the beautiful beaches of Cuba behind, the cruise ship then stopped off at the Dominican Republic port in Monte Christi and the girls spent the day enjoying all the comforts that the Hard Rock Cafe had to offer.

*A night of dancing was in order for the girls of Stilettos & Lace Club at the well known night club, Club Epic. Partying until sunrise was was the spice of the night while stopped in San Juan, Puerto Rico. However, the girls made it back just in time for the departure of the cruise ship, and rested while waiting for the next stop.

*On the last stop of the oh so wonderful cruise, the ladies spent some relaxing time at the Colony Cove Beach Resort on the U.S. Virgin Islands. Here the girls enjoyed a little bit of everything with fun on the beach, at the pool, on a hike, lounging on the deck over-looking the forest behind the main house. What a wonderful time the girls had their magical cruise.

And with a summer retreat full of fun and play, it was time for a little bit of work....hard work. The girls joined the Army. Putting in their strength, effort, and support of each other, the girls made it through to graduate from and become members of the Army/Military Boot Camp and University. Now that is girl power.

*A slumber party was held at the club mansion for President Laceyjane´s 34th birthday. The girls had so much fun sitting around and chatting, eating pizza and an assortment of ¨junk¨ food, watching movies, listening to some favorite tunes, and just some all around girl fun. The night finished off with a birthday cake with candles for Laceyjane to blow out and gifts to be unwrapped. What a memorable birthday and a night for the books.

Stilettos & Lace Club turned 2 years old on *September 18, 2018. To celebrate, the club members held a private, members only party at the club mansion. The widely known and celebrated Melbourne Cup of Australia is the equivalent of the Kentucky Derby in the U.S., and for the ladies of S & L, getting the beautifully decorated invitation to attend and be V.I.P.'s at this momentous occasion was and is a great honor. The ladies in attendance kept with the tradition of the brightly colored, designer outfits and dresses and not only looked the part but also enjoyed their time tremendously. And the countdown until the next cup has begun.

It's that time of year again! Christmas is such a magical time of the year and the girl's found it fitting to visit Santa and Mrs. Clause, all the elves and the reindeer for a change.
