21 Reasons You Should Fall In Love This Autumn

Written By: Jonnah

Autumn is here again! Make the most of those chilly mornings with a cuddle. There is not a better time through the year to find and fall in love. And here we are going to give you 21 reasons why the autumn season is the best season for falling in love.

1. With the temperate weather, your wardrobe options increase by approximately two million percent. We know that's not a real percentage, but autumn is magic. It rewrites the rules of love and of math.

2. All of the good movies comes out between September and December, so you always have a great movie out in theaters for that first date.

3. If you don't want to deal with your family on Thanksgiving, especially after your mom has had one too many Peach Snapps, the holidays get a lot more bearable when you bring someone you actually want to be around.

4. Apartment complexes often don't kick on the heat until late October or early November, leaving you with a very drafty month of blankets and Snuggies. You can invest in a space heater or (even better) find someone warm to cuddle up to.

5. A great first date will always do nicely. However, a great first date is made even better when it's shared over a Pumpkin Spiced Latte. Like fall, coffee makes everything better.

6. When you want to go for a long stroll together, it's nice to have the autumn wind as an excuse to walk a little bit closer - or borrow his/her jacket if your walk get a bit cool.

7. Pumpkin carving is a great bonding activity, especially when you aren't going from pre-made patterns from the store. Your pumpkins may look drunk, but they'll look drunk together.

8. Couple's Halloween costumes might be obnoxious to most everyone else, but when you find the right one, it's perfection.

9. You might not want to necessarily go to a football game, but when it scores points with him and his buddies, it's really not so bad. Just don't forget which team you're supposed to be rooting for.

10. During the summer, you always have to C.Y.P. on a date - ya know "check your pits". But without the heat and the humidity, you're perspiration-free. Instead, you can focus on being witty and charming.

11. The autumn leaves make every romantic moment a perfect Instagram moment. Take a photo of the memory. It won't make the day last longer, but it will make it last more vividly.

12. There's nothing more romantic on a crisp, cool autumn evening than renting the latest Rom-Com and cuddling up with him/her on the couch for an evening at home.

13. You have one more person around to remember to pack an umbrella.

14. Since bathing suit season is behind us till next year, you don't have to shave your legs for every day - or obsessively worry about that cheesecake your woofed down last night. You can just do you, make this autumn a "No Shame Autumn!"

15. Fall is by far the best time for pie - with Thanksgiving and the build-up to Christmas - and everybody knows the best way to eat a slice of pie is when you're sharing it with someone special. Make sure to savor it with a mug of hot chocolate.

16. If you're one of those people who has a fireplace, you finally have a reason to use it for romantic purposes, not just for heating. It's not just the warmth, it's the company.

17. You can go apple picking. And you can hold the basket together.

18. When you're decorating your home, it's best to have someone there to help you reach those places that play hard to get. Those plastic corncobs and cartoon turkeys aren't going to hang themselves.

19. If you forget your gloves, which is almost always, you have a backup and a hand ready to hold.

20. Early Christmas shopping can be a pain in the ass, especially when your Dad won't tell you what he wants and insists you don't have to get him anything. However, it's less of a hassle when you get to buy for them, obsessing over the perfect present all to later pretend that you didn't  spend anytime, money, or energy on it. "That scarf practically knitted itself."

21. When you fall in love in the autumn, you get to keep it all through the winter. Whether or not it lasts to see spring, you'll still always have the memories, as wonderful and wistful as jumping into a pile of leaves. This autumn don't be afraid to dive in.

11 Signs You're Falling In Love

Written By: LuciaMaria84

Knowing you're in love feels different for everyone. Some have been in love often and know the feeling well, while other's may not be so sure if it's love or just a deep infatuation.

Luckily, your body has some pretty sneaky ways of tipping you off to whether these feelings for your partner are more than just a passing phase. Keep an eye out for these tell-tale signs the next time you catch yourself wondering if you, in fact, actually in love.

<You Can't Stop Staring At Them>

if your partner has ever caught you staring at them lovingly, it could be a sign that you're head over heels. Eye contact means that you're fixated on something, so if you find that your eyes are fixed on your partner, you just may be falling in love. Studies have also found that couples who lock eyes report feeling a stronger romantic connection than those who don't. It goes the other way too: when a study had strangers lock eyes for minutes at a time, they reported romantic feelings towards each other.

<You Feel Like You're High>

It's completely normal to feel out of your mind when falling for someone.

A study found that the brain of a person falling in love looks the same as the brain of a person who has taken cocaine. You can thank dopamine, which is released in both instances, for that feeling. This is a good explanation for why people in new relationships can act absolutely nonsensically.

<You Always Think About Them>

If you love someone, you may feel like you can't get them off of your mind. That's because your brain releases phenylethylamine, aka the "love drug" when you fall in love with someone. This hormone creates the feeling of infatuation with your partner.

You may be familiar with the feeling because phenylethylamine is also found in chocolate, which may explain why you just can't stop after one piece.

<You Want Them To Be Happy>

Love is an equal partnership, but you'll find someone's happiness becomes really important to you when you're falling for them.

So-called "compassionate love" can be one of the biggest signs of a healthy relationship. This means that you are willing to go out of your way to make your partner's life easier and happier.

If you find yourself going out of your way to keep your partner dry when walking in the rain or making him/her breakfast on a busy weekday morning, it's a sign you've got it bad!

<You've Been Stressed Lately>

Although love is often associated with warm and fuzzy feelings, it can also be a huge source of stress. Being in love often causes your brain to release the stress hormone cortisol, which can lead you to feel the heat.

So if you've noticed your patience is being tested a little more than normal or you're kind of freaking out, you not need to carry a stress ball just yet; you may just be in love.

<You Don't Feel Pain As Strongly>

Falling for someone might be painful, but if you've noticed that literally falling doesn't bother you as much anymore, it could be a big sign in you're in love. A study had participants stare at a photo of someone they love and found that act could reduce moderate pain by up to 40%, and reduced severe pain by up to 15%.

So if you're getting a tattoo, you may want to keep a photo of your partner handy, just in case!

<You're Trying New Things>

Everyone wants to impress their date in the beginning of their relationships, but if you find yourself consistently trying new things that your partner enjoys, you may have been bitten by the love bug. In fact, a study found that people who have claimed to be in love often had varied interest and personality traits after those relationships. So even if you hate that square-dancing class you're going to with your partner, it could have a positive effect on your personality.

<Your Heart Rate Synchronizes With His/Hers>

Your heart may skip a beat when you think about the one you love, but a study showed that you may also be beating in time with each other. A study conducted suggests that couples' hearts begin to beat at the same rate when they fall in love.

Although you may not be able to tell if this has happened without a few stethoscopes, feeling a deep connection to your partner is a good sign as any that you're in love.

<You're Okay With The Gross Stuff>

If you're a notorious germaphobe and totally cool kissing your partner after just watching him/her pick his/her nose, you just might be in love (you about would have to be for this). In fact, a study found that feelings of sexual desire can override feelings of being grossed out.

So that means if  you're super attracted to your partner, you may just let him/her double dip. That's love, baby!

<You Get Sweatier>

If you're nauseous and sweaty, you either have a bad stomach bug or you're falling in love. A study found that feeling in love can cause you to feel sick and display symptoms physically, similar to that of anxiety or stress, like sweat.

Although this feeling will probably pass once you really get comfortable with your partner, it may be a good idea to carry around an extra hankey, to be on the safe-and-dry-side.

<You Love His/Her Quirks>

If you really get to know a person, chances are you'll pick up on the little things that make him/her uniquely him/her. And if you're in love with him/her, these are probably some of the things that attract you the most.

A study found that small quirks can actually make a person fall deeper in love with someone rather than just physical attributes because people have unique preferences. So although you may have judged your partner a little harshly on first glance, if you find that you're suddenly in awe of his/her uniqueness, you might be in love.
